White Room Research Collective

Introduction

The White Room Research Collective is a band of curious individuals dedicated to the craft of butoh-fu as taught by Yukio Waguri. Butoh-fu is a choreography method developed by Tatsumi Hijikata, the founder of butoh; it uses paintings and words as a way to access a performer’s inner world and helps them to focus their energy. Since 2013, WRRC members have organised butoh workshops and creative investigation with butoh-fu on stage.
