Sky Bird Puppet Group

Introduction

Sky bird Puppet Group was found by the Mr. Yeung Ching Yee in 1979, during the active participation of various types of arts activities, is Hong Kong’s veteran puppet group. Mr Cheung Chun Fai is the troupe leader now. Theatre adhering Quanzhou marionette style, dedicated to the preservation and development of puppetry arts, creative puppet performances with Hong Kong characteristics. Theatre has raised string, hand, rod, and shadow puppet performance. We collect over thousand puppets.
The group won the Leisure and Cultural Services Department selected as the “06/07 and 2009 Community Cultural Ambassador” and “07/08 and 2010 School Culture Day” troupe.
The group has a “sealed stage, long-string puppet” performances, puppet line more than 8 feet, install complicated stage is unique to Hong Kong, the world’s string puppet rare form of performance.
