A docu-drama adapted from the famed novel of the same name and history of the Han dynasty. Staging an epic of 20 years requires a modernist twist incorporating Chinese operatic and western theatre styles, which gave licence to the show’s awarding winning costume and make-up designs. Only six actors are employed to feature over 60 characters. A good treat for theatre buffs who are especially interested in Chinese history and classical novels.
