Description

Description

“The letter may not change your mind、 yet the delivery of which tells you that you are not alone in this world.”

One night in 2012, a trio of NEETs who are up to no good breaks into the long abandoned Namiya General Store and fantastically connect themselves to a world dated from 33 years back. Along stacking timelines and helpless with their own plight, the trio take it upon themselves to concoct replies to four bewildered juveniles whom they have never met, and in turn, discover their own way of self-redemption.

Best selling Japanese mystery writer Keigo Higashino published The Miracles of the Namiya General Store in 2012, which was overwhelmingly received and regarded as the best feel-good fantastical novel of the author. The novel was adapted into a play by the renowned playwright Yutaka Narui the following year.

In his drama adaptation, Yutaka Narui tells his epiphany about Higashino’s interpretation of Mr Namiya’s affection to his first love, Akiko.
