Description

“It is the best version of Macbeth I have ever seen!”
– Dominic Dromgoole / Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre (2008-16)

Return to Hong Kong after London premiere 2015, HK Arts Festival 2016 and Europe touring 2017.

When Three Witches tell Macbeth that he is destined for the throne of Scotland, he and his wife kill the first man standing in their path, the virtuous King Duncan, and Banquo his comrade-in-arms. To maintain his position, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth must keep on the tragedy, and pass the point of no return.

While the castle is not at Scotland but ancient Orient、 is Thane of Cawdor or the mistress of the castle murdering King Duncan? Who could ever tell that is the new king or the new queen who host the royal banquet?

As the new emperor, the red dress is both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth spontaneously. Or is it actually the witches from contemporary realm of turbulence?
