Lucian Plessner Americas Recital
Music
Description
Description
A solo classical guitar recital featuring virtuoso Argentinean Folklore, and music by Leonard Bernstein in commemoration of his life and work.;Lucian Plessner taught himself to play the guitar and gave his first recital at the age of 15. After his studies in Germany he moved to Córdoba, Spain, where he gained an international reputation when a Spanish concert agency arranged a nationwide tour of guitar recitals for him – a remarkable tribute for a foreign virtuoso in the homeland of the guitar.;At the age of 18, Lucian was invited by Eduardo Falú, the legend of Argentinean Folklore, to join him on a concert tour of Europe. Eduardo later highly praised Lucian’s recording of his music (Folklore Virtuoso).;In his final year, Leonard Bernstein drew the attention of the international music community to Lucian by authorising him to arrange a cycle of his music for the guitar. Lucian has performed this repertoire in prestigious concert halls and festivals from San Francisco to Moscow – among them the Konzerthaus Vienna and Harvard University – and now makes his debut in Hong Kong.;http://www.lucian-plessner.com
