i-Dance Festival (HK) 2016

Description

A number of local and overseas dance and new media artists will come together in “i-Dance Lab”, a new i-Dance Festival initiative, to explore the performance potential when dance and new media collide. On two evenings, in four newly created works, dance and new media artists of diversified training background tell their stories of existence in a new dance language.

PROGRAMME 3
MORPHING OF PHI
Phi Φ is the 21st letter of the Greek alphabet, a special number approximately equal to 1.618. It is also known as the Golden Section which is always applied in art, math and science.
Morphing of Phi is a combination of dance and technology, an addiction to and struggle about aesthetics from the choreography of Phi.

PROGRAMME 4
DANCE CLINIC MOBILE
Introducing the first prototype of Artificial Intelligent Machine for choreographic processes designed by dance doctor Choy Ka Fai. This Lecture Demonstration proposed the concept of a dance clinic to explore the choreographic symptoms of contemporary dance.
