I-Dance Lab 1&2

i-Dance Festival (HK) 2016

Description

Description

A number of local and overseas dance and new media artists will come together in “i-Dance Lab”, a new i-Dance Festival initiative, to explore the performance potential when dance and new media collide. On two evenings, in four newly created works, dance and new media artists of diversified training background tell their stories of existence in a new dance language.

PROGRAMME 1
IN.VISIBLE (CITIES)
City, memory, desire, symbols, names, death, sky…..departing from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, between the visible and invisible walls and gaps, the body saunters the virtual cities and writes Marco Polo’s travel journal with programming language.

PROGRAMME 2
ENLIGHTEN
Light and shadows have been regarded the natural partners of dance. Technological advancement triggers more possibilities than ever. Yet, in this new work of ours, we are looking to retrieve the beauty and joy we had before.
