Description
The grand dance poem Dunhuang Reflections is a reinterpretation of the Dunhuang murals and its aesthetics, where past and present come together to form a Hong Kong-specific Dunhuang impression.
“Apsaras playing musical instruments”, “Music and dance scene with Pipa played behind the back”-the wondrous cosmic world of Dunhuang is represented before the audience through dance, body and demeanour of the dancers, combined with stage effects and flamboyant costumes, culminating in a grand dance poem that is both artistic and entertaining. While the audiences experience the divine realm and the glorious past of Dunhuang, the Chinese philosophy of life is also conveyed to them through the delicate, elegant and classic dance.
