Hong Kong Children’s Symphony Orchestra Annual Concert 2019: Yang Xiaoyu’s Paganini

Description

This coming April, Chinese famous violinist Yang Xiaoyu, along with Hong Kong Children’s Symphony Orchestra will present two concerts: The “Yang Xiaoyu’s Paganini”. On 27/4, Yang Xiaoyu will perform Nathan Milstein’s Paganiniana as the overture of the first concert. On 28/4, it will start with Schnittke’s A Paganini. Both pieces are virtuoso violin solo pieces composers dedicated to Paganini. Besides two 20th century pieces, Yang Xiaoyu will perform Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 1 on 27/4, and No. 2 on 28/4 with HKCSO.

Guest conductor Fan Tao will also lead HKCSO to perform Dr. Yip Wai-hong’s Symphony in E on 27/4, while in 28/4 concert, HKCSO will perform Mozart’s 40th Symphony under the Resident Conductor Jeff Leung’s baton.
