Battle of The Flying Dragon Ridge-Cantonese Opera Extravaganza for Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of HKSAR

Description

Description

Disguised as peasants, Song General Hu-yan Shou-ting and his sister, Jin-ding, try to escape out of the White Dragon Pass to seek reinforcement for the Song army which is besieged. Bewitched by Jin-ding’s beauty, Prince White Dragon allows them to leave. The Song army rallies and triumphs and Prince White Dragon is on the run when he meets Jin-ding again on Flying Dragon Ridge. At Prince White Dragon’s earnest plea, Jin-ding recalls their previous romantic encounter and lets him off in contravention of military orders. The Prince then stages a comeback to defeat the Song troops. In the ensuing battle, Prince White Dragon and Jin-ding reconcile after it comes to light that they have turned foes only because of the vicissitudes of war and are in fact related.
