Miss Julie

Description

Description

“From my rotting body, flowers shall grow and I am in them and that is eternity.”

—— Edvard Munch

On a Midsummer Night, a countess and her father’s valet begin a relationship of love and lust. Struggling between status and identity, a distorted personality burns into dust.

Miss Julie was written by the Swedish playwright August Strindberg in 1888. A groundbreaking theatrical masterpiece for its time, in which Strindberg explores the themes of sex, power, and class struggle through the characters’ internal struggle and distorted psychology.
