Description

Description

Sound Of Singers, formed in 2013, is a local professional vocal group that specialises in a cappella singing and backup singing for artist. It was founded by Jo Jo Pang, one of the most influential a cappella artists in China. It hopes to add fun and taste to the everyday life of the audience, and to bring them endless joy.

Applauding A Cappella is a concert presented primarily in a cappella singing. Artists will be performing original and cover songs. Some of the original music do not have lyrics – different voicing is used to highlight the characteristics and techniques of a cappella singing. The cover versions comprise pop music that the younger generation is fond of, including Cantonese pop song, Pharrell Williams’s Happy, Big Bang’s Bang Bang Bang, etc.

To enhance students’ understanding about a cappella music, the group will explain the origin, types and arrangement of a cappella singing. Techniques of vocal harmony and beatboxing will also be taught.
