Description
The story portrays the helplessness and frustration encountered by the people in a time of rapid change. The disillusioned aristocratic landlord, Madame Ranevskaya, must sell her last asset, the cherry orchard to pay off her debt to survive. The auction would potentially trigger the departure of people living in the orchard and is momentarily stalled by the wealthy merchant, Lopakhin.Will Lopakhin’s plan of saving the estate change the fate of Madame Ranevskaya and everyone’s life?
