Description

Description

A cinematic theatre directed by Adrian Yeung.

For a long time, moving images have served merely as backdrops in theatre productions.

How can such images be truly integrated into the content and form of a theatrical performance Is there a counterpoint where the languages of movie and theatre can collaborate

Setting off from the perspective and aesthetics of renowned Japanese movie director Yasujiro Ozu, this production attempts to intertwine cinematic and theatrical approaches to storytelling. It promises to be a whimsical dialogue between Adrian and Ozu.

How will Ozu tackle a family story with his camera Through the application of various media, spatial manipulation and the shuttle of performers between the story and the reality of the theatre, Adrian explores how to expand the possibilities of cinematic theatre.
