Dance to The Sound of Music

Description

Description

Dance to “The Sound of Music” is a must-see for young children’s initial music education and a top favourite for quality family time. In fact, the hugely popular songs are also great material for choreography, thanks to their sharp rhythms and rich melodies. This summer, teachers and students work together to rearrange this beloved production and design additional movements to stage a dance version of it. Joining the troupe on stage are senior students interpreting excerpts of classical Ballets in various styles, including the glamourous Waltz of the Princesses (Swan Lake), the youthful Peasant Pas de Deux (Giselle), the strong and challenging Don Quixote dances and the magical Waltz of the Snowflakes (Nutcracker).
