Bring your dancing shoes: the 20th edition of Sonic Anchor brings ‘Syn-Infection’ – a “techno-sound art” project of piercing and visceral intensity. Taiwanese audio-visual duo HH (Yao Chung-han and Yeh Ting-hao) explores the experimental potential of electronic dance music (EDM) in their strongly rhythmic, entirely dance-able audio-visual performances. Esteemed sound artist Yao arranges grungy noises into fierce beats, creating what he calls a “sound art-techno music hybrid.” Yeh then visualizes Yao’s beats into relentlessly rational and highly psychedelic geometric patterns. An experimental-sound-dance-party that is not to be missed.
