West Kowloon Cultural District has recently conducted a trial run to test out ideas on its design, operation and programming. A replicated tea house theatre was created in The Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts, offering audience a unique opportunity to view Cantonese opera performances and enjoy tea in an intimate space modelled on a traditional Chinese tea house, while getting a flavour of the future Xiqu Centre. http://www.westkowloon.hk/the-district/architecture-facilities/xiqu-centre/chapter/tea-house-theatre
