A cross-dimensional, cross-cultural, crossover musical feast from local talents – expect the unexpected when the erhu jams with the harmonica to reinvent classical music, pop and jazz!

Boundary defines nation and culture, time defines period and genre. In Hong Kong where east meets west, boundary and time seem to carry special connotations in a different way.

Two promising artists from Hong Kong, erhu player Chan Pik-sum and harmonica player CY Leo, will cross boundaries and traverse over time in the concert. Chan and Leo will line up a groundbreaking crossover between erhu and harmonica and separately play alongside with their own band from Hong Kong. Chan will present a rich mix of traditional Chinese music, Guangdong music, Hong Kong oldies, etc., using erhu with yangqin, cello, piano and drums. Leo will take the stage with his band and explore a repertoire of time-honoured movie themes, classical music and pop music with harmonica, guitar, bass, and keyboard and drums. Completely unfettered by boundaries and time, their music will impress audience with its originality and innovation.
