Description

Description

Many years ago, there was a war between Athens and Crete. Athens was defeated and the King of Crete demanded offering of human sacrifices to feed the Minotaur, a half-human and half-bull giant monster. If Athenians refused the dark ritual, war would be started again.

Every few years, young boys and girls would be bought to Crete as human sacrifices until Theseus, the young prince of Athens decided to fight back and break this bad practice. Theseus is a courageous young man who vowed to conquer the Minotaur to stop the bad practice of human sacrifices and bring joy and peace to his people. The Minotaur dwelt in the centre of a labyrinth and no one had ever made it out alive. By Theseus’ side is the devoted Ariandne who would risk everything for the beloved courageous prince.

It will take students on another epic journey back in time to Ancient Greece and the exciting story of the Minotaur in the labyrinth. Students will not only be exposed to a Greek legend, but also be able to see how the legend be brought to life in an exciting new adaption. Our adaptation of this myth will focus on the courage of Theseus who faced the horrific Minotaur without fear and his mercy to his people to free them from draconian rituals.
